we say to the world, our God is the great I Am!
we say to the enemy, we have the victory!
The Dance & Banner Ministry of The Guiding Light Church is a ministry of people who are gifted to worship and praise the Lord in dance as well as pageantry. This group of men and women has chosen to present their bodies as living sacrifices, ministering to the Lord and before His people.
OUR PURPOSE AND MISSION
To set and atmosphere for the Power of God to have His way, preach the Word of God through movement, release the oppressed, proclaim freedom for those who are imprisoned, and declare the Glory of our God by lifting up the standard of the Lord.
Flags, banners and other instruments of praise are used so that others will be inspired to worship and seek God. The importance of dance in praise and worship has been expressed throughout the Bible. Can you imagine Miriam leading the people in praise to God after He delivered them from the bondage of Pharoah? Yes, Miriam led the women in dance. David, a true worshiper of the Lord, danced before Him with all his might to express his heart of praise.
